Piston for a stroke piston combustion engine
DRIVE
July 25, 2012
The piston has a cylinder (2) arranged along a cylinder axis (A) between an upper dead center and a bottom dead center in an axial direction. A piston ring gasket (3) comprising two piston rings (31, 32) is arranged at a mantle surface (100). The gasket is arranged between a piston crown (4) with a top land (5) and a piston skirt (6). The piston skirt forms a lower portion that is turned away from a combustion chamber surface (7) of the piston. Centering units (8, 81) e.g. guide rings, are provided on the piston for radially centering the piston in the cylinder.
