Drive with a combustion engine and an expansion machine with gas recirculation

The vehicle drive (1) has an internal combustion engine (2) with a combustion chamber limited by a cylinder (4) and a piston. A gas supplying medium is arranged for supplying gas from an expansion machine (23) into the combustion chamber, or in an intake duct (10) of the internal combustion engine. A gas storage (18) is connected with the combustion chamber for storing a compressed gas in the combustion chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a vehicle drive, particularly a motor vehicle drive.
