Gas intake device for an internal combustion engine

The charge intake for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine has an intake duct (24) with an upstream section (26) divided into two sections downstream (28,30) which open into the combustion chamber (22) via two ports (32,34) each with a valve (36,38). The downstream sections have partition walls (72,74), as does the upstream section (60).
