Depending on the vehicle type the vehicle battery consists of multiple battery modules. The battery modules are electrically connected only after the insertion into the vehicle (2) by vehicle-side contacts. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle; (2) a device for power supply to vehicles; and (3) a system for power supply to vehicles.
