The method involves providing a semi finished product made of a light metal extruded section profile with three adjacent hollow chambers. An upper side (OS4) and a lower side (US4) of the middle chamber (4) are trimmed on end sides such that the bearing arms are formed through the outer chambers (2,3). An independent claim is also included for a suspension arm with a dent.
