Air conditioning for a motor vehicle
DRIVE
May 16, 2012
The system (1) has an evaporator (2), and a heater (3) whose air flows are separated over a mixing valve (5), where the separated air flows are conducted into a mixing chamber (6). A ventilation channel (8), a defroster channel (7) and a floor space channel (9) are extended from the chamber. A part of a fan (12) is inserted into the defroster channel or the ventilation channel. The fan is moved by a motor, and the heater is arranged downstream of an electrical heater (4), where the valve is designed as a butterfly valve. The channels are adjusted by flaps (11a-11c) based on driver command.
