Multiple part cover bar

The bar has a sealing strip (8) fastened at a base strip (9). The sealing strip includes a sealing lip (7') for sealing and/or optically bridging a gap formed between the lining bar and an adjacent vehicle surface in an assembly condition. The sealing strip includes a connecting element (10) made of a material, which is structurally rigid relative to a material of the sealing lip. The sealing strip is connected with the base strip over corresponding counter pieces (11) as a component separable from the base strip by the connecting element. The counter pieces are provided at the base strip.
