Utility vehicle rear-view mirror
DRIVE
April 18, 2012
A rear-view mirror assembly (40) is mounted to the side of a utility vehicle cab (10) which comprises a door (22,28) hinged to a front pillar (12) of the cab. The assembly comprises a mirror support bracket (44,46,48a) for supporting a rear-view mirror in a position which at least partly resides within a swept volume of the door. The support bracket is pivotally mounted to the cab and a rod (56) is connected between the support bracket and the door. The mirror pivots upwardly to a position outside said swept volume as the door is opened, effectively 'leapfrogging' the door.
