Method and device for detecting motor vehicles in a transport network

The method involves arranging several local receiver units (3) for receiving the signals of tire pressure monitoring sensors in the transport network (1) and/or several mobile receiving units (7) to move in the traffic network. A traffic parameter of the motor vehicle (2) is determined based on the received signals. The signal receiving units and the transmission units are arranged to receive and transmit the trigger signals of the tire pressure monitoring sensors, respectively.
