Source
The method involves charging a battery (34) with charging current, which is generated during braking of an electrically driven industrial truck by a drive motor (16). A tilt angle of the industrial lorry is determined, and a state of charge of the battery is determined. Driving speed of the industrial lorry is limited to maximum speed, which is smaller than maximum speed of the industrial lorry if the charge state exceeds a predetermined maximum charge state and an inclination angle exceeds a predetermined maximum inclination angle. An independent claim is also included for an electrically driven industrial lorry comprising a drive motor.
