Method and device for controlling a combustion engine

The method involves monitoring an operating parameter of the internal combustion engine (220) and detecting a temporal change of the operating parameter, which exceeds a dynamic threshold value. The fuel injection timing of the internal combustion engine is controlled as a function of the detected temporal change of the operating parameter. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for controlling an internal combustion engine; and (2) a motor vehicle with a drive train.
