Driver assistance system for a vehicle and method for visualising the environment of a vehicle

The device (10) has two sensors (11, 12) for sensing an environment of a vehicle, where the sensors have different resolutions. The sensor (11) senses in an area of a visible light, and the sensor (12) senses in an area of an infrared area e.g. distance infrared area. A display device (20) is provided in an area of a front panel (30) and/or in an area of a cockpit of the vehicle and/or in an area of a center console of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for visualizing the environment of a vehicle.
