The device comprises a condensate preheater (21), a primary pipeline (26) of the condensate preheater, which is connected to a pump (27), and a secondary pipeline (38) of the pump, which is connected to a pressure medium economizer (50). A fuel line (43) is provided for receiving heat. A bypass pipeline (46) is provided, which is diverted from the secondary pipeline with a shut-off valve (45). An independent claim is also included for a method for fuel preheating.
