A method for servicing a vehicle an air-conditioning system of a vehicle comprises initiating refrigerant filling into the vehicle air-conditioning system. The method also comprises, after initiating the refrigerant filling, tracking a variation in a rate-of-change of the output temperature of the vehicle air-conditioning system measured by a temperature sensor within a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The variation in the rate of change of the output temperature is processed to determine a stopping time for the refrigerant filling. The refrigerant filling is then ceased at the stopping time.
