A station (1) for charging/recovering a refrigerant into/from the air-conditioning system (2) of a vehicle (3), comprising a refrigerant intake/injection unit (10) from/into said air-conditioning system (2); the station comprises a system (11) configured to measure the inclination INC (± 1 ,± 2 )) of the charging station with respect to a pre-set horizontal reference plane (P1) and inhibit the charging operation by the intake/injection unit (10) when the inclination INC (± 1 ,± 2 ) measured satisfies a pre-set relation with a pre-set inclination threshold.
