Damping unit and adjustment unit for a vehicle seat

The damping unit (D) has deformable damping elements (8,8') and stoppers (9,9'), where the stoppers are changed in deformation of the damping elements such that the force-displacement characteristic curve of the damping unit becomes steeper after reaching a stop point. An independent claim is also included for an adjustment unit for a vehicle seat.
