Trailer coupling with a sensor

The trailer coupling (10) has a coupling body support (13) fastened to a motor vehicle, and a coupling body arranged at a free end region of the support. A traction coupling retainer of a traction coupling of a trailer is inserted on the body. The body forms a bearing body for multiaxle rotary hinged pivoting relative to the support. An annular actuator body is actuatable by the retainer and rotated relative to the body. The actuator body forms a component of a sensor e.g. magnetic sensor, arrangement for detecting an angle position of the traction coupling relative to the support.
