The method involves cutting an ignition electrode blank from a metal sheet and assembling the electrode arms (7) by bending. The metal sheet is made of iridium or iridium-based alloy by rolling in a rolling direction. The ignition electrode blank is cut out such that an angle of 50 degrees or less is provided between each of the electrode arms and the rolling direction. The ignition electrode is made of iridium-based alloy, which contains 1 weight percent of osmium and hafnium. An independent claim is also included for a prechamber spark plug with a housing.
