Method for operating a charging station

The method involves activating a power supply device (3) of a charging station (2) by a user using the identification unit so that the power supply device is available for a charging process, where the identification unit provides biunique identification. The charging process is terminated by the user using the identification unit over the biunique identification. The charging process is terminated by payment of incurred fees and chronologically terminated after the payment. Common accounting of incurred parking- and charging fees is performed. The identification unit is formed as magnetic strip card, chip coin or bar code.
