Rail vehicle

The vehicle (2) has an eddy current brake whose a brake plate (1) is attached to a train line (5) through an arrangement (9) for providing direct voltage with a significantly lower voltage level of a traction intermediate circuit (3). The train line is connected with a traction intermediate circuit through an inverter (4). The arrangement for providing the direct voltage and the brake actuator are accommodated in non-driven cars. An accumulator charger (12) is arranged between the train line and a DC static converter.
