External rear view mirror with an electrical connection to an electric component housed in the external rear view mirror housing

The mirror has electrical components e.g. vehicle function controlling sensors, accommodated in an inner portion of an outer retrospect mirror housing. An electrical connector (2) comprises a connection cable (3) and a plug connector (4). The plug connector comprises a plug part that is attached at the components via a section of the cable, and another plug part (7) that is attached to the former plug part. The latter plug part is fixed at the housing, where fixation (8) of the latter plug part is enabled by using a clip connector (9) between the housing and the latter plug part.
