Rear attachment device

The device (20) has a crossbeam (40) extending transverse to a longitudinal middle plane of a vehicle body (10), where a pivot bearing unit (22) is mountable at the crossbeam. A side carrier is held at an end region of the crossbeam, and connects the crossbeam with the vehicle body. The crossbeam is formed as a cast part that is formed from support rod regions, where the regions are integrally connected with each other to form a cross-section profile of the cast part. The cross-section profile is opened at a side between the end region and a middle region of the crossbeam.
