CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
DRIVE
November 30, 2011
A control device for an internal combustion engine, provided with: an EGR mechanism (2) for recirculating exhaust gas to the air intake system of the engine (1); an intake air flow-rate control means (25) for controlling the flow rate of the intake air to the engine (1); and an EGR stop means (23) for stopping the operation of the EGR mechanism (2) when idling operation of the engine (1) continues for a predetermined period of time. When the EGR stop means (23) has stopped the operation of the EGR mechanism (2), the intake air flow-rate control means (25) reduces the flow rate of the intake air to the engine (1).
