The method includes: obtaining a road surface coefficient of a road on which a vehicle is traveling according to speed parameters of the vehicle during traveling, wherein the road surface coefficient represents a flatness degree of a road surface; determining whether the vehicle is currently traveling on a bumpy road according to the road surface coefficient; in response to determining that the vehicle is currently traveling on a bumpy road, determining at least one bump level covered by the bumpy road; and controlling an operation of the vehicle according to the at least one bump level.
