The electrical power generator (2) is driven by an internal combustion engine (1). Its exhaust line (4) supplies a turbo-generator (5, 6) for additional power generation. A novel feature is the heat exchanger (11) connected to an organic rankine cycle (ORC) or clausius rankine cycle (CRC) power plant (12). The exhaust line (8, 9) of the engine (1) and/or an exhaust line from the turbo generator (5, 6) are connected to the heat exchanger (11). In this way, residual heat is removed from the two exhaust lines and is used for power generation in the ORC or CRC plant.
