Method for operating an automatic stop/start system in a motor vehicle
DRIVE
November 2, 2011
The method involves deactivating the combustion engine and opening the clutch when the existent vehicle speed leaves a speed range adequately to the existent engaged gear in a condition, in which the motor vehicle rolls without impetus. The combustion engine is restarted automatically and is brought to a speed when the input and output shafts of the clutch rotate synchronously. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating a start-stop automatic in a motor vehicle.
