Suspension strut and method for producing a component of a suspension strut

The bearing (1) has a sliding bearing (9) or rolling bearing that is rotatable about a center axis (7) and arranged between a vehicle-body attachment element (3) and a guide ring (5). The ring includes a metallic reinforcement (17), and forms an axial or radial thrust bearing (13) for a coil spring (15). The ring is designed as a single-piece component that has a damping layer (19) and the metallic reinforcement. The ring, the reinforcement and the layer are connected to each other in a non-detachable manner. The layer is injection-molded on the ring and made of a softer plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a manufacturing process for a component of a suspension strut bearing.
