An elastic bearing, especially for a vehicle wheel suspension comprises an inner torsional bearing and a radial, outer thrust bearing (14) located in a housing. The thrust bearing is stiff in the vertical direction and soft laterally, and consists of an elastomer section (26) and a sliding layer section (28). The latter consists of pressure resistant, low friction plates (30). The latter consist of e.g. PTFE. The sliding layer section has an intermediate elastomer plate (34).
