Starter provided with a torque limiter connected to a pinion and corresponding torque limiter

The starter has a driving shaft (3) on which a driving pinion (2) is mounted, where the pinion rotates a crown of a thermal engine and comprises a crown (2.1) of teeth delimited by two end faces (2.2, 2.3). A torque limiter (1) is formed by friction discs (7, 8) installed on the driving shaft on both sides of the pinion. The friction discs are rotated by the shaft, and have frontal faces (7.1, 8.1). Abutments (10) block a side of an assembly that is formed by the friction discs and the pinion so as to maintain the pinion in pressure between the frontal faces of the friction discs.
