Front drive of a road finisher and method for controlling same

The finisher has an electronic control unit pre-determining reference-differential pressure between pump pressure (Pp) downstream of an adjusting pump (12) and upstream of control valves (14a-14d) i.e. 2/2-proportional solenoid valves, and maximum load pressure (PLS) downstream of pressure maintenance valves (15a-15d). Pressure measuring devices (22, 23) determine initial-differential pressure, and a pump regulating valve (30) i.e. proportional valve, adjusts conveying stream of the pump and controls the initial-differential pressure to the reference-differential pressure. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling traction force and limiting transmission-slip for a front drive of a road finisher.
