Combustion engine with fuel pump

The piston engine (1) has a crankshaft (35) lying in a crankshaft housing (25) of the piston engine, which has a combustion chamber (5) limited by a piston (3).The crankshaft has a crankshaft wall (37) and a crankshaft shank. The crankshaft shank is provided with a drive element of a fuel pump directly in interference. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating piston engine.
