Fuel injector

The fuel injector comprises a housing portion (1), in which a switching valve (2) with a closing element (3) actuated by a piezoelectric actuator (14). The closing element is formed sleeve-shaped for forming a switching valve chamber (4) and for partial receiving of a stationary sealing body (5), and has a sealing contour (6). A sealing sleeve (9) is provided for radially limiting the switching valve chamber, and is axially preloaded by a compression spring (10) corresponding to a throttle plate (11).
