The invention relates to a valve assembly for an injection valve and to an injection valve. Valve assembly (11) for an injection valve (10), comprising an inlet tube (12), a valve body (14) including a central longitudinal axis (L), a valve body shell (16) being arranged radially outside the valve body (14) and the inlet tube (12) and being designed to mechanically couple the valve body (14) to the inlet tube (12), wherein the inlet tube (12), the valve body (14), and the valve body shell (16) comprise a common cavity (18) with a fluid inlet portion (42) and a fluid outlet portion (40), a valve needle (20) axially movable in the cavity (18), the valve needle (20) preventing a fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion (40) in a closing position and releasing the fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion (40) in further positions, and a housing (39) being designed to take up an actuator unit (36) for the actuation of the valve needle (20). The inlet tube (12), the valve body shell (16) and the housing (39) are formed as a one-piece part.
