Valve assembly for an injection valve and injection valve

The invention relates to a valve assembly (11) for an injection valve (10), comprising a valve body (14) including a central longitudinal axis (A), the valve body (14) comprising a cavity (18) with a fluid inlet portion (42) and a fluid outlet portion (40), and a valve needle (20) axially movable in the cavity (18), the valve needle (20) preventing a fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion (40) in a closing position and releasing the fluid flow through the fluid outlet portion (40) in further positions. The valve needle (20) has a valve needle tip (48) being essentially designed as a ball. The valve needle tip (48) comprises a flat surface section (50) facing the fluid outlet portion (40). The flat surface section (50) is designed in a manner that the valve needle tip (48) receives a given hydraulic pressure force from the fluid outlet portion (40) while the valve needle (20) leaves the closing position. The invention further relates to an injection valve (10) with a valve assembly (11) and an actuator unit (36). The actuator unit (36) is designed to act on the valve assembly (11) .
