The heat exchanger (600) has a heat conductive module (610) with a base plate and multiple projections. The projections are connected with an end area with a main surface of the base plate and are spaced apart from each other so that an electrochemical energy storage is arranged between the spaced apart projections. The channel plates (630,640) are provided which have an arrangement of recesses separated by bars. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a heat conductive module for receiving heat from an electrochemical energy storage unit; and (2) a heat conductive unit for receiving heat from an electrochemical energy storage unit.
