Device for electric energy storage, in particular for a motor vehicle

The device has a battery module (1) i.e. lithium-ion battery module, with multiple single cells (2) interconnected in a series and/or parallel manner. Multiple support plates (3, 3a, 3b) i.e. injection molded parts, are provided with a receiving device (4) for receiving the single cells that are arranged one above the other. A heat conducting equipment (5) i.e. heat pipe, is thermally connected between the single cells and arranged on the plates. The plates comprise a flow guidance unit (6) for electrically connecting the single cells, which are arranged in a plane of the plates.
