Rollover protection for motor vehicles

The system (1) has a roll-over body (2) adjusted between a lowered storage position and an erected rollover position. The roll-over body has support bodies (3a) with a honeycomb structure. The support bodies extend in a longitudinal direction of the roll-over body. A plate-like cover body (4) is arranged on a side or on both sides of the support bodies and covers the honeycomb structure. The support bodies exhibit an energy-absorbing head impact area (6). The honeycomb structure exhibits 6-angular cross section and/or a circular honeycomb. The support bodies are formed from aluminum material.
