Tubular torsion bar and its application in a vehicle suspension

The bar has a composite tubular framework, and longitudinal implants (12) made of a carbon fiber material. The longitudinal implants are notched in the framework. The framework is made of a mixture of fiberglass and epoxy resin. The implants are concave relative to a center (P) of a tubular section of the bar. An outer surface (12S) of each implant has a longitudinal curvature less than that of an inner surface (12I) of the implant. The implants extend along entire length of the bar, where the bar is covered with an anti-tracking coating (14).
