Method for displaying a procedure for pulling out of a parking space

The method involves determining whether an implemented driving maneuver is a parking maneuver from a parking space. The driving maneuver is determined as the parking maneuver when an automatic parking process is activated and objects before and/or behind a vehicle are detected by distance sensors, where the objects are recognized as standing objects. The parking maneuver is displayed by activating a driving direction indicator. The driving direction indicator is kept in an activated mode until the parking maneuver is terminated.
