Bumper system

The bumper arrangement (1) comprises a cross beam (2) and two crash boxes (3), where the crash boxes are fixed at corresponding longitudinal carriers and is coupled with a binding area formed at the end section of the cross beam. An interior bar is provided, which has a recess (8) in the binding area.
