Actuator for a component of a motor vehicle

The drive has a motor adjustable adjusting element (1), and a motor adjustable blocking element (2) provided in engagement with the adjusting element in a blocking position such that the adjusting element is set in a function position in a direction of motion (3) in a blocking operation. A spring arrangement is attached to the adjusting element, and pretensions the adjusting element, which is present in the function position, in the direction of motion. An independent claim is also included for a door lock for a motor vehicle.
