Method for monitoring and managing driver attention loads

The present invention relates to a method for enhancing driving performance by monitoring a driver's distraction from driving tasks due to the driver's attention to secondary tasks, the method comprising the steps of: measuring a visual activity of the driver based on the driver's head and/or eye movement; assessing the driver's level of distraction from driving tasks based on the measured visual activity; and redirecting the driver attention to driving tasks by providing a real time attention feedback to the driver.
