Wood logging gripper

The device has a bracket (5) pivotable about a horizontal bracket-pivot axis (8) and a vertical bracket-pivot axis (9) by bracket-actuators (12, 15), respectively. A gripper (6) is supported by the bracket for gripping a tree trunk (35). The gripper is pivotable about a horizontal gripper-pivot axis (20) against the bracket by a gripper-actuator (21). The horizontal gripper-pivot axis is aligned perpendicular to a longitudinal extension of the bracket. The horizontal bracket-pivot axis lies parallel to the horizontal gripper-pivot axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for moving a tree trunk using a wood moving device.
