Battery-operated device and battery for same

The device has a handle i.e. tiltable lever (HE), formed at a side of a battery (BT), where the side of the battery is turned away in a plug direction (SR) of a battery receptacle (BA). Two sets of structures (S1, S2) are formed at the battery and the receptacle, respectively. The battery is tilted at a tilting angle when the battery is displaced in and/or against the plug direction during insertion and/or removal of the battery around a tilt axis, where the axis runs perpendicular to the plug direction opposite to operating position. The battery is designed as a rechargeable battery or an accumulator.
