Vibration absorber

The damper has a cylinder made of plastic and arranged with a cylinder-side connection member (5). A mounted component (9) made of plastic is fastened to the cylinder by a material bond. A set of plastic supplemental volume fractions determines a finished body contour. One of the mounted component and the cylinder is made of a ready-prepared semi-finished product that forms a surface of the damper at a body side in a final state. The ready-prepared semi-finished product comprises a filler material that envelops reinforcement. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a vibration damper.
