The device (1) has a controlling unit (4) controlling an indicating unit (3), and braking-and accelerating sections (7, 8) displaying various driving condition. A display region (2) includes information content that is firmly defined. A stopping region (9) is indicated in the indication unit when a hybrid vehicle (16) is inoperably parked. The braking-and accelerating sections include a fine side (10) and a corrupted side (11), and the controlling unit determines actual braking-and accelerating condition. A stopping state is displayed when the hybrid vehicle is inoperably parked. An independent claim is also included for a method for displaying a driving condition of a hybrid vehicle.
