Charging socket for charging an electric car

The socket (1) has a cable winding (5) arranged in an inner area of a housing (15) that is provided for accommodating a charging-cable (8). The cable is guided in the inner area of the housing by input-connection terminals (7) with an end and guided at an outer side of the housing with another end. The cable is drawn from the housing over a cable-bushing (16) and electrically connected with a plug connector (9) of a vehicle. The winding has a spring unit for insertion of the cable into the housing. An operating condition-signaling device i.e. LED, is integrated into a front of the housing.
