The valve has a control valve (1) i.e. solenoid valve, comprising a control element (4) including a central bore (5) for receiving and guiding a pressure pin (6). The control element is pressure-equalized in a closed position in which an annular sealing edge (7) sealably rests on a valve seat (8). The control valve exhibits a pressure limiting function when the pin produces a hydraulic connection of the bore with a return line by changing axial length of the pin during defined pressure force at a front surface (9) of the pin.
