Injector valve, in particular for charging a combustion engine with pressurised air
DRIVE
January 26, 2011
The valve (29) has a housing (22) including an inlet (23) for flow medium and another inlet (3) for supplementary medium. A nozzle (5) i.e. laval nozzle, is in connection with the latter inlet and injects the supplementary medium into a flow channel (1). A valve body (24) is positioned behind the nozzle in the channel in a flow direction and moved between inactive and active positions (I, II). The body realizes a large flow cross-section (26) of the channel behind the nozzle in the inactive position and a small nozzle like flow cross-section (6) behind the nozzle in the active position. An independent claim is also included for a charging system for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle including a turbocharger.
