Method and control device to securely interrupt the power flow in a driveline

The method involves adjusting a mechanical neutral position of a gear to two gear idle positions in a drive train using a control device during a switching of an automated control gear into a neutral position. Information about the adjustment of the neutral position of the gear to the idle positions in the drive train is present in the device, when a sensor signal for one of the gear idle positions is present in the device. An independent claim is also included for a control device for controlling a drive train.
